We work differently in that we select profiles for men according to their requirements, we offer personal introductions to the ladies selected and only support one to one correspondence. We don't sell individual names and addresses as so many other agencies do.

8. Do you or your staff meet the profiled-clients in person prior to posting their profile?
women yes, men no - unless they want to
9. Do you conduct an interview in person or by telephone with the profiled-client?
women yes mostly in person some by phone, men no - unless they want to but most don't
10. Do you sell the addresses of your profiled-clients?
no
11. Do you prohibit your profiled-clients from providing their home addresses or telephone numbers to their foreign correspondents?
no we always provide full contact details once an introduction has been made
12. Do you censor or monitor or modify in any way the
communications between the profiled-clients and their foreign correspondents?
no - unless it is for translation and it is offensive - we have had men write some pretty offensive stuff and we just won't translate it - not fair on the lady. On translation it is personal translation not machine translation and we do make slight style changes to improve correspondence into a more Russian style but this is done without changing the original
meaning - if we don't do this the letter would seem very strange to any russian woman reading it.
13. What steps did you take to verify the accuracy of the
information provided to you by the profiled-clients? For example, do you ask for proof of birth date, education, marital history, familial history or work experience and if so what is required?
we work on a trust basis for men and women but we personally know most women or they join via personal recommendation and so we know what they tell us is correct. Unfortunately this doesn't apply to men who join - and we do get those men who say they are 40 but turn out to be 60, or say they are MD's and turn out to be dustmen or supply someone elses photo - not many but it
does happen..
14. How often do you update this information?
we contact women regularly some 2-3 times a year
15. Approximately, how long does it take to remove profiled-correspondents that get engaged or married?
Profiles are removed upon first introduction and only put back if introduction fails
16. Can a profiled-client request removal or modification of her profile and how long does this take to comply with such a request?
immediately
17. Do you have exclusive profiles? In other words can the profiled client ONLY be found or contacted at your agency?
yes - Some ladies joined other agencies before they join us, and these agencies will not delete their profiles. We have several ladies who have married through us and yet their are agencies still selling their details and they know they are married. Ladies know we work on a one to one correspondence basis
18. How would you respond if you found out one of your
profiled-clients was listed at another or a number of other agencies?
If we know a lady or man is active and corresponding with others from other agencies we terminate membership - we work on one to one correspondence only
19. Do you have a refund policy and if so please describe it?
we offer refund of joining fee if we are unable to select 20 suitable profiles. payment of second fee £115 is only due if a successful introduction arises. additional 10 profiles above 20 may be requested for additional £10, all further introductions are free. membership is until marriage or member cancels. however we look at cases individually so will offer refunds if genuinely warrented.
20. Do you have formal procedures for addressing complaints from your clients?
no, each is dealt with individually
21. What would be your response if it were reported to you that one of your profiled-clients had defrauded someone out of money?
this works both ways men defrauding women and women defrauding men. In each case we would contact both parties and try to find the truth of the matter, if we feel something is not right then we will terminate membership immediately - whether man or woman. you do need to be careful, some men do like to look for scammers and declare scammers at every opportunity but in reality these are usually sour grapes because the relationship ended or they
just like to have a little fame on the mailing groups In 5 years we have only come across 3 cases of what we would term genuine scammers - 2 ladies and 1 man we expelled them. I think the fact that we undertake the introductions ourselves and our philosophy is one to one correspondence means that we are not a good agency for scammers to join - they will be found out very easily and because we only offer one introduction at a time means scamming is going to be less profitable. Scammers I feel are more happy using agencies who just sell and resell their details over and
over again. Why do you not include male scammers on your list?
22. How would you describe your role or involvement in the
relationship between your foreign correspondent-clients and your profiled-clients?
we introduce them and support them if they wish us to - it is up to them after we have made the initial introduction
